Do you ever find yourself right in the middle of what God has asked you to do and where He has called you to be, but everywhere you turn you see lack? In those moments I’m tempted to cry out, “God, where are you? I thought this would be easy! Where’s your provision?” That’s usually right before I’m tempted to up and run.
God never promises that we won’t have difficulty, He only promises that He will give us the strength to make it through that difficulty. He doesn’t promise that we won’t be tempted to up and run; in fact we probably will.
We could be right smack dab in the middle of God’s promise for our lives and still be tempted to up and run!
Why, you ask? Because we are human and for some reason the grass always seems to look greener in our neighbor’s lawn. But if we stay rooted, we will see our lives flourish.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says that God won’t allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. Pressure will come. Trials will cause you to question the promise God has given you, but in those moments, we have an opportunity to stand in faith and trust God.
Trust that the same God who has provided for His people for centuries past will provide for you as well.
You see, each trial and each moment of pressure is an opportunity for a miracle in your life.
It’s an opportunity for you to allow your trust in an ever-present, ever-providing, ever-loving God to become that much stronger.
What would happen if God raised up a generation of individuals who stood firmly on the promises God had given them? Who rested confidently in their season despite the drawbacks they saw with their eyes? What if they waited patiently for the miracle God wanted to do in them and through them? Their lives would bloom with life.
Nobody said this would be easy. Rest assured that your promise will be put under pressure.
"If God has called you, He can and will sustain you. The question is, do you trust Him?"
