The other day I met a friend and her mother for breakfast. We have this restaurant chain in
Colorado called Snooze, and they have the best breakfast food. I had been anticipating this meeting for two reasons. One, I got to connect with some dear friends in my life, and two, they sell a killer eggwhite frittata.
I’ve never been a huge breakfast fan, but when I think about this meal my mouth waters incessantly like a dripping faucet. I had a feeling that this breakfast would be divine in my life on many levels, but I didn’t realize how much until afterward.
After meeting with these two beautiful women, I left encouraged in the depths of my spirit and just ... alive.
It was as if God took a barrel-full of kerosene and dumped it on top of the dimly lit flame that was burning in my life and my passion suddenly exploded.
I reluctantly got in my car after practically licking my plate clean. Having successfully held back the monsoon of tears that were threatening to burst out during breakfast, I sat in my car, shut the door and the dam broke. I just cried.
I cried because God is so good and He knew exactly what I needed that day to put one foot in front of the other and just keep pressing on. He knew that I needed Him to confirm and reconfirm over the years what He was speaking and placing in my heart. He put the right people in my path to do just that.
At every given moment, God has the exact right people in your path to help you accomplish the purpose He’s placed in your heart.
As you love well, God will open divine doors with people. So who has God placed in your life that can help provide for the purpose He’s put within you? I’m not looking to use or abuse people. This isn’t just you getting what you want out of others. But if you can genuinely love others well, I believe that God will provide above and beyond what you need in this current season through people.
Naomi, in the Bible, thought her life was coming to an end. She thought the good old days were over, but God had a different plan in mind. God wanted her later years to be better than her former. God wanted to bless her beyond what she had ever experienced. God blessed her and provided for her through a person. A person that she tried to abandon, I
might add.
But Ruth would not let Naomi go. In the end the Bible says that Ruth had been better to Naomi than seven sons! Ruth was better to Naomi than anything she had lost in the past and was setting her up for a beautifully bright future.
God’s above and beyond provision had come through a person.
What is one thing in your life right now that you are believing God for? Who is one person you could ask to help you with that thing? Is it a creative need? A financial need? A friendship need? Whatever it is, God has an answer waiting for you and many times that answer is found in a person.
"Don’t get so busy that you forget to look around you and see the potential in the people God has placed in your life. Your miracle could be staring you in the face, just ask God to help you see it."
