Last week we talked about how God's goodness and mercy are going to chase us down. This week I want to remind us that this "chasing" isn't simply for a season.
I know many people, including myself at times, who reminisce over the good old days. They hold this secret longing in which they wish life could go back to the way it used to be. I'm praying that God uses this scripture to shift our thinking this week.
God knows your beginning from your end. He promises that goodness and mercy will hunt us down ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
This is a promises that has happened in the past, is happening now and will continue to happen in our future. It spans across our entire life including the history behind us and the history before us.
That should give us hope for this holiday season. A special gift from God packaged perfectly in His Word to you.
My prayer is that you experience His past, present and future goodness and mercy this year. That you can rest and trust in a Good Shepherd who has your best interest at heart.
